Gergő Lencsés

General manager, Gas Turbines Value Chain, GE Gas Power

As head of gas turbine manufacturing, Gergő brings together operations in 11 locations worldwide, including factories in Greenville (USA), Veresegyház (Hungary) and Belfort (France).

Gergő started his career as a manufacturing support engineer at GE Lighting. In 2001, he joined GE Power's new plant in Veresegyház, Hungary, which was under construction. He then held several supply chain positions before being promoted to Production Manager at the age of 28. In 2008, he was appointed to lead GE's investment in Hai Phong, Vietnam, which resulted in the construction of GE's largest renewable energy equipment plant.

In 2012, he returned to Hungary to manage GE Power's Veresegyház plant, which assembles small and medium power plants, manufactures and repairs gas turbine components. He managed the plant, which employs 2000 people, until 2018, when he was asked to lead global gas turbine manufacturing of GE Gas Power. His job is to increase the company’s global competitiveness with his experience in manufacturing, quality assurance and lean vision.

He holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Budapest University of Technology (BME).
