Graham Stuart was elected as the Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness in 2005. Mr Stuart joined the Environmental Audit Committee just after he was elected, and Chaired GLOBE until 2016, which was an organisation linking together parliamentarians from over 80 countries in order to champion sustainable policies.
He joined the Department for International Trade in January 2018 as Minister for Investment. In February 2020 he was appointed Minister for Exports. The Minister is responsible for export policy and promotion (including the export strategy), climate change and COP26 as well as investment policy in the House of Commons. This year the UK will host the COP26 global climate change conference in Glasgow. Therefore the UNFCCC Race to Zero Campaign is a shared priority for the UK.
