Ákos Hegedüs
Ákos Hegedüs was born in Répcelak, which is also the headquarters of the company he runs. He started his studies at the bilingual high school in Balatonalmádi, then graduated from the Óbuda University in technical management and the Budapest School of Economics in international marketing.
His career started 19 years ago at Linde Gáz Magyarország Zrt. which is one of the largest producers of industrial, medical and special gases and gas equipment in Hungary with an annual turnover exceeding HUF 84 billion. The company is part of the global Linde Plc. It produces gases and provides services for almost all segments such as steel production, chemical, food and beverage industry, electronics, health care, mechanical engineering, energy and metal industry.
He has been the managing director of the company since November 2020. During his career he gained experience in many areas of Linde in sales, marketing, project management and business development, both in local and regional positions. Before his appointment as CEO he successfully led the healthcare business of Linde Hungary for three years.
In March 2022 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic in recognition of his safety- and customer-oriented, but also innovative and environmentally friendly operation as a company manager.
Ákos is 44 years old, divorced, father of two children. In his spare time he enjoys running, cycling, sailing, skiing and playing squash.
