Péter Csépányi

Dr. Péter Csépányi is the Deputy Director for Forest Management and Conservation at the Pilis Park Forestry, the company that managed the state forests of the wider environment of the capital city of Budapest. Through the sustainable management of the forest areas around Budapest, Mr Csépányi contributes to the conservation of biodiversity and natural habitats, one of the key areas in the fight against climate change. After finishing his university studies he started working at Ózd Forestry, then in 1996 he continued his work at Pilis Park Forestry. He has been working to reach a paradigm shift in silviculture towards the introduction of not just economically but also ecologically sustainable methods.
