Réka Hámori

Chief Economist, Hungarian Banking Association

Reka Hamori graduated from Benilde-St. Margaret’s High School in Minnesota, Minneapolis, in June 2000, as she was a Rotary Exchange Student for one year there. She graduated from Budapest Business University with a degree in Economics in 2006. She obtained a postgraduate diploma in Digital Business from MIT Sloan and Columbia Business School in 2020 and achieved her Master of Business Administration degree from Arden University, London, in 2021. She has excellent communication skills. She has worked in various banks, and since September 2013, she has been a Chief Economist at the Hungarian Banking Association, responsible for numerous Working Groups, including SME lending, sustainability, distributed ledger technology, and many more, and liaising the Hungarian sector and the financial sector within various European Banking Federation meetings. Since 2023, she has been a Board member of the Women in IT Security Association in Hungary.
